Melaka International Event 2012

Words have it that the 1st Melaka International event has been finalized and that the event will be hosted by the Historical City of Melaka starting from 20th April right up to 1st May 2012. The event will be marked as one of the major international event to commemorate the 750th year of Melaka since it was first founded and built

The event shall start with an 11 round International Rapid event offering a prize fund of USD 20,000 to be played over the 2 days weekend, followed by Classical event over 9 rounds for 2 categories - Open International and Challenger, offering a total prize fund of up to RM 50,000.

The total prize fund is one of the biggest purse ever offered for a local tournament surpassing that of the Malaysian Chess Festival. Entry fees for the event and other details are being fine tuned before it is officially released

The 12 days chess gala will be hosted at the Hang Tuah Hotel right in the heart of Melaka City where Mahkota Parade, Dataran Pahlawan, Historical Museums, popular night spots and eateries, are all located within walking distance from the playing venue.

An opening dinner is also on the agenda and it is very likely that it will be officiated by the YAB Ketua Menteri Melaka with many local, regional and international chess dignitaries expected to attend the festival.

Kuala Lumpur DATCC 29-1-2011, berlangsungnya Insofar Rapid Tourney dengan jayanya. Tidak seperti tahun lepas kali ini penyertaan yang begitu memberangsangkan dimana lebih 100 peserta telahpun mengambil bahagian. Syabas diucapkan kepada penganjur kerana berjaya mencapai sasaran beliau. Tahniah kepada En Sumant kerana berjaya menjuarai kedua2 kategori. Oleh itu terimalah gambar kenangan pada hari kejadian manakala untuk keputusan penuh bolehlah melayari Chess Results.

Winners will continue to get scholarship every month, although not playing in the tournament anymore.

Scholarship win in more than one time can be added.

Scholarship winner must open Maybank Account or meanwhile can use parent’s Maybank Acc.

If not, the scholarship will be accumulated until the Maybank Account is opened.

The scholarship is a GIFT from Insofar. It is not a RIGHT.

Scholarship winner :

1) Must play minimum once every 3 years in Scholarship Tournament

2) Prize winners who get 1^st and 2^nd are allowed to play maximum of 3 scholarship tournament only per (calendar) year

Kuala Lumpur DATCC 24-1-2012, maka berlabuhnya tirai 17 Chess Club FIDE Rated Tournament dengan jayanya. Seramai 20 orang peserta telahpun mengambil bahagian terbahagi kepada 2 kumpulan iaitu Kumpulan A dan B. Dengan memungut 8 mata En Faiezul Zainal telahpun berjaya menjadi Juara untuk Kumpulan B manakala dengan mengumpul 7.5 mata En Nik Ahmad Farouqi dinobatkan juara untuk Kumpulan A. Pertandingan ini lebih kepada untuk peserta mengumpul mata di FIDE Rating dan semangat persahabatan antara kita dan InsyaAllah akan terus diadakan pada tahun2 mendatang, begitulah antara ucapan penutup Pengerusi 17 Chess Club iaitu En Mohammed (Max). Syabas Ng6 ucapkan kepada penganjur kerana kejayaan pertandingan ini. Tahniah kepada pemenang, yang tidak berjaya jangan putus asa teruskan usaha. Oleh itu terimalah gambar kenangan dihari penutup pertandingan manakal untuk keputusan penuh bolehlah melayari Chess Results A & Chess Results B.
