The 4th DATCC KL Open Chess Team Championship 2011

at the DAT Chess Centre, Lot 4.20CS, 4th Floor Car Park, Wilayah Complex, No 2, Jalan Munshi Abdullah, 50100 K.L, Malaysia

SCHEDULE & REGULATIONS:

This team event is scheduled to start on Saturday, 22nd October 2011 with Registration, Team Meeting and

Round 1 to start at 10:00am. Thereafter, the event to continue with one round per week on Tuesday nights starting at 6:30pm beginning 25th October to 20th December 2011. The last Round 9 shall be played on Saturday, 24th December starting at 9:00am followed by closing and prize giving ceremony at 1:30pm.

This will be a FIDE Rated event played over 9-round Swiss System with a maximum of 10 players per team. A match is played over 4 boards and at any one time, a team can only field players with an average rating of 2250 or less. Pairing will be made based on game points and match points will be used as the first tie-break.

Time Control: 90 minutes + 30 sec increment from move 1

Team Composition: Maximum 10 players per team

Entry Fees: RM 400 per team (irrespective of the number of players in the team).

NOTE: For junior team where all players are below 16 years, the entry fee is RM200 per team

ENTRIES AFTER THIS DATE WILL BE SURCHARGED RM 100. TO ALLOW FOR FLEXIBILITY, ADDITIONAL PLAYERS CAN BE REGISTERED EVEN AFTER THE START OF THE EVENT.

CHANGE OF BOARD ORDER, CHANGE OF NAMES, ETC, CAN ONLY BE DONE BEFORE THE START OF ROUND 1 AFTER WHICH THE LIST WILL BE MAINTAINED.

FOR FLEXIBILITY PURPOSES, A TEAM MAY LEAVE BLANK NAMES (BUT FIRMED BOARD NUMBER) IN ITS TEAM LISTING BOARD ORDER WITH THE IDEA OF ADDING PLAYERS AS THE TOURNAMENT PROGRESSES. E.G. TEAM CAPTAIN/MANAGER MAY PROVIDE A PROVISIONAL BOARD ORDER e.g. LISTING THE PLAYERS AS BOARD 3,5,9,10 AND LEAVING BOARD 1,2,4,6,7,8 AS AND WHEN ADDITIONAL PLAYERS ARE AVAILABLE
