New Nagas Standard Chess Results

This is the first 2-day weekend chess tournament with a 60-minute time control in Malaysia after more than 7 years, and probably only the second such event in the last 15 years. Hopefully there will be more weekend events with this or longer time control and see more participants who like more time to think over their moves. Longer time controls results to higher quality games and regularly playing such time controls games cannot but lead to a general increase in playing strength.

The next New Nagas event is being planned as a 2-day 6-round FIDE-rated event to continue the initiative to offer regular longer time control weekend events into the Malaysian chess scene.
